This gallery is a little different from my others in that it doesn't display a blues show at a concert or in a bar where everybody had a good time and just cruised on home. This gallery shows what I saw at the end of life's long road for my good friend, Sam Myers.
Sam was a giant of the blues, and for those of us who knew him, he loomed large in our lives as well. God saw fit to take Sam home on July 17, 2006. He was surrounded by loving friends as he departed this world to go to the next, and his journey was painless and swift. Sam will be missed by countless friends and fans all over the world. He touched many, many lives over his 70 years on this planet, and each life that he touched came away the better for it. Never have I met anyone who was surrounded by as much love as that man, Sam Myers. His epitaph is still to be written, but for me, it will always be,
"My Love Is Here To Stay"
